meet the team
Billy Barron, Founder & President
Billy leads the organization's efforts across all ventures and sets the vision for how Eighteen Four Ventures will impact our communities, partners, and customers. After a few years in corporate America, he realized that most organizations rely on rules-of-thumb and theories that have been twisted from their original design and uses - basically, organizations are trying to use hammers to turn screws. Not satisfied with this approach, he seeks to go back to the original insights and combine different perspectives to find the right tool for the job. He brings diverse experience across numerous functions including general management, innovation, marketing & sales, engineering, and strategy.

Billy holds a Masters of Finance from Harvard University, Extension School where he focused on entrepreneurial finance topics. He also holds a Bachelors of Science from Georgia Institute of Technology in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering. In addition, he has continued his education from organizations including MIT, the Association of National Advertisers, the American Marketing Association, and Project Management Institute to name a few.
